Advanced Process Technology, Inc. designs and manufactures
high-performance
machines including cast urethane processing
equipment, epoxy potting and vacuum
encapsulating equipment,
resin transfer molding and composite RTM, VARTM, metering,
mixing,
dispensing and injection equipment
for continuous output
and shot output of
plural-component, abrasive-filled and unfilled
castable resin formulations. Also, a full line of heated, agitated,
vacuum, pressure,
mixing tanks
for heating, agitating and
degassing cast urethanes and epoxies.

...with true digital control
our systems will handle
all of your critical resin process-control
requirements,
to make your work easier!
|
How can we
help you?...
For
nearly 40-years, APT has helped
cast urethane, epoxy, polyester and nylon
resin processors meet hundreds of
machine-process and laboratory requirements
for degassing,
open casting, bottom
filling, closed mold
mixed material injection,
epoxy
vacuum potting inside vacuum chambers,
epoxy resin transfer molding -
RTM VARTM -
and resin bath-filling for filament winding applications.
Our
cast urethane machines and epoxy resin dispensers
provide processors
with
the ability to enter digital presets and to easily select pour recipes at an
operator-
interface control panel to cast and mold products with true digital
repeatability.
Your finished parts can have precise, preset, physical properties.
What that means
to you is that you can have QC control just before it's made, far less
scrap, far more
accuracy and increased profits.
APT's SRD- and ECS-Series
servomotor-controlled, metering, mixing
and dispensing
machines provide the process variable controls needed to handle your most
demanding
application requirements, most notably precise,
all-digital, metered-
resin flow control.
Instantaneous closed-loop ratio
control insures consistent,
on-ratio
parts production.
We
offer different types of
continuous rotary gear metering pumps to handle unfilled
resins as well as solid and hollow sphere microballoon-filled resins. Our
positive-
displacement piston metering pumps handle highly abrasive-filled
and unfilled resins.
These systems optionally include state-of-the-art,
straight and
curved-tube, coriolis mass flowmeters for closed-loop feedback
ratio control, touchscreen PLC or
Flat-Panel PC control and
continuous material recirculation
together
with servomotor-
controlled
gear or
piston pump metering
systems. Combined,
these essential items give you ...
-
Accurate,
digital control of all process variables
including ratio, vacuum,
temperature, output-rate,
volume-displacement, pressure in the mold and
mixer-speed to make your most difficult jobs easy.
-
Saved process-control
recipes can be selected by
part number or name
to insure part-to-part repeatability.
-
Unmatched ratio-change versatility with simple, pushbutton-presets
no need to
physically change gears and no need for mechanical adjustments.
-
Material
recirculation to insure homogenous material temperature
control
throughout the tanks, lines, metering pumps,
mixer and back to the tanks.
-
Alarmed
(over/under setpoint) ratio verification stops scrap before
it's made
for instantaneous QC control.
Quality control is what these systems
from APT are all about:
Save time and money by eliminating operator error and guesswork. APT's
digital
process control cuts resin waste and rejects. Now you can meter, mix and
dispense
on-ratio, air-bubble-free material to your molds with PLC-controlled and coriolis
flowmeter-verified, digital accuracy.
To
eliminate air-bubbles and voids, we provide you with:
-
Heated batch preparation tanks
for
heating,
agitating and degassing
to prepare
air-bubble-free batches of resin.
-
Continuous thin-film degassing and continuous delivery of precisely
heated and agitated materials to the mixing machine. You can heat,
agitate and
vacuum degas your resin materials on-the-fly in our
Continuous Thin-Film Resin Deaerators at up to 40 lbs/min.
- The ability to vacuum cast air-free materials into air-free mold cavities
inside
one of our standard or custom-designed vacuum chambers.
Vacuum-casting is typically reserved for electrical and electronic potting
and
encapsulating, where the mixed-material pot life is long enough to
accommodate this
process. Also, for RTM parts, where the preform
needs to be injected with mixed resin from 5 to
600 PSI. Plus, molds
can be
vacuum-assisted for epoxy-composite VARTM applications.
